This is my favorite notion. It's invaluable if you work with fusibles. I've mentioned it's use on the Soft Fuse™ Technique page, below demonstrates it's use with fusible web. It's transparency allows you to see the pattern placed underneath while you fuse your applique pieces directly on the pressing sheet. Allow them to cool for a few seconds, then peel off the assembled applique.
Hemostats are one of the handiest little notions for turning and shaping your appliques. It's perfect with my Soft Fuse™ stitch and turn technique. The locking grip acts as a third hand making it perfect for pulling thick threads though fabric or elastic through a waistband. You'll find many uses for this tool.
